What it does
One phone. The whole room playing.
Nobody needs a device
Movie Night runs from the one phone in the room. The host plays the clip or reads the question out, everyone shouts, and the host taps whoever got it first. It works for kids who can’t read yet, which is the point.
Three seconds of a theme
A famous film score or song plays for three seconds. Know it? Shout it. That is the whole game, and three seconds is usually either instant or hopeless, which is what makes it funny.
Hints that carry on
Stuck? Each hint picks up exactly where the last one stopped, so a longer hint is new music rather than the same three seconds again. The answer is worth a little less each time.

Plays on any speaker
Play it through the phone, or send it to an AirPlay speaker so the music fills the room. A speaker with no screen keeps the answer hidden, which is the way to do it.
Movie Trivia
Who directed it, who played the part, who wrote the score, and which of two films came out first. No subscription needed for this half, and it plays on any device.
A poster that sharpens
Name the movie from a poster that starts as a blur and sharpens with every hint, until the whole thing is there on the reveal.
Famous lines, and the misquotes
Tell a famous line’s movie, or catch the misquote everybody gets wrong. Every quote is checked word for word against a transcript of that year’s film, so a line only ships if the film actually says it.
Pick the era
The movies the kids grew up on, the ones the parents did, or forty years of both. The pool changes with the room you’re in.
Family-friendly mode
Keeps every clip, question and quote to G, PG and PG-13 movies, and leaves out any film with no rating rather than assuming it’s fine.
Game Nights
One all-time leaderboard across both games, every finished game night, and each game’s rounds: what was asked, who got it, and how long it took them.
The Library
Every clip the game can deal, grouped by movie, with who in the family has guessed each one. It is the answer key, so it says so.
The feeling
Less “whose turn is it?” More “I KNOW this one.”
Three seconds of music, and the whole room shouting at once.
Hints cost a point, so everybody has a way in.
Every quote checked word for word against the film itself.
Privacy
Your players and scores stay on your phone.
Movie Night has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and collects nothing. Your players, your game history and which clips you’ve played live on your device and nowhere else. Film data and posters come from TMDb, and the music plays through your own Apple Music subscription.
