The Last Jedi was an absolutely brilliant entry in the Star Wars saga. The Force Awakens did a stellar job re-launching the franchise, but this sequel dared to take risks—and in doing so, gave us something bold, unexpected, and deeply satisfying.
From the very first moments, the tone is set: this isn’t just a nostalgia trip. The pacing is tight, the visuals are stunning, and the story carries real emotional weight. What stood out to me most was how deeply human this film allowed its characters to be. There’s vulnerability, failure, growth, and an ever-present question about what it really means to be a hero.
Rey and Kylo Ren’s intertwined journeys continue to be one of the franchise’s most compelling dynamics. Their evolving connection—both conflicting and strangely intimate—pushes the boundaries of what we thought we knew about the Force. Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley absolutely carry these roles with depth and intensity.
But then we get the surprises—the big ones. Leia using the Force to pull herself back from the brink? I did not see that coming, and I loved it. It was a beautiful acknowledgment that the Force lives in more than just lightsaber duels—it lives in legacy.
And then, of course, there’s Luke. His arc in this film is nothing short of iconic. We see a weathered Jedi who’s wrestling with failure, only to deliver one of the greatest mic-drop moments in Star Wars history. That scene—projecting his image across the galaxy, withstanding the First Order’s full firepower, and facing Kylo Ren in battle without ever touching the ground? Pure Jedi legend.
The film dares to explore themes of letting go of the past, redefining heroism, and finding hope in unexpected places. The Last Jedi doesn’t just honor the Star Wars legacy—it expands it.
A fantastic chapter. Emotional. Surprising. And unforgettable.
