Palm Springs (2020) 😊

Palm Springs is a solid rom-com that I regret not watching when it first came out in 2020. Back then, with theaters shut down and good movies in short supply, this would have been a much-needed breath of fresh air. Better late than never, right? 🙂

The humor is great. While the one-liners aren’t quite Deadpool-level, they’re consistently funny and will keep you chuckling. What really stands out, though, is Andy Samberg’s performance as Nyles. Known for his goofy, slapstick roles, Samberg brings surprising depth and maturity to this character—and he nails it. I’d love to see him take on more roles like this.

What makes Palm Springs unique is its clever premise. Sarah (Cristin Milioti) follows Nyles into a mysterious cave, trapping them both in an infinite time loop. They’re forced to relive the same day—her sister’s wedding—which becomes a springboard for plenty of hilarious moments.

Whether you’re here for the laughs or the chemistry, this is a worthwhile watch. It may not be groundbreaking, but it’s a fun, refreshing twist on the rom-com formula.
