Wonder is truly … well, wonderful! This film tells a beautiful, heartfelt story that resonates with anyone who’s ever felt like an outcast—a universal and deeply poignant experience. It’s a sad truth, but one the movie approaches with warmth and optimism. At its core, the family unit shines as a source of strength, constant as gravity and as comfortingly warm as the sun.
The cast is outstanding. Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson portray the kind of parents we all wish we had—loving, firm when needed, and with a piercing understanding of their children’s unique worth. They see their kids for who they truly are: special.
Via (Izabela Vidovic) is an equally crucial part of the story. She represents a different kind of outcast, not rejected by others but overlooked because she seems so self-sufficient. Her character speaks to those of us who appear well put together but still yearn for recognition and care.
