Movie Canvas Privacy Policy
Movie Canvas is built to be private by design. The app has no ads, no analytics SDKs, no third-party tracking, and does not sell your data.
Information the app stores
When you sign in with TMDb, the app stores your TMDb access token and account identifier on your device so it can read your rated movies and watchlist. It also stores the preferences you create inside the app, including your saved jobs, album choices, and a cached copy of your library data. This information is stored locally on your device.
TMDb sign-in
You sign in through TMDb’s own authentication flow. The app never sees your TMDb password; it receives an access token that stays on your device and is used only to read your rated movies and watchlist. Signing out removes that token from the device.
Movie data
Movie posters, artwork, and film details are provided by The Movie Database (TMDb), subject to TMDb’s own terms and privacy policy. This product uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb.
Photos access
To save the wallpapers you generate, the app asks for permission to add images to your photo library and, if you choose to save into a specific album, to read the list of your album names. The app only writes the images you generate; it does not read, upload, or analyze your existing photos.
Information collected by the developer
The app does not collect personal information from you for the developer and does not transmit your library, ratings, or generated images to the developer. If you contact support, the information you choose to send in that message may be used to respond to your request.
Analytics, ads, and tracking
Movie Canvas does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies, and it does not sell personal data.
Purchases
Movie Canvas is free and sells nothing. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no adverts, so the app never sees or stores payment information of any kind.
Children’s privacy
Movie Canvas is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app changes. If data practices change materially, this page should be updated before the new version is released.
